The GEMCO Sydney Outstanding Achiever/Talent Awards have been set up to celebrate achievements by the South Asian community in Australia in the fields of Academics, Sports, Literature, Creativity and Arts. We aim to encourage the achievers and inspire the others to strive for excellence in their chosen field.

Sashi Chelliah won MasterChef in 2018 with his methodical approach and delicious, spice-laden Indian and Malaysian food.
Aayush Sharma
Aayush created his fashion brand Inoa in 2013. Today his design collection is stocked in 17 countries.
Navonkar Singh
Navonkar drove a burning truck away from a petrol station, risking his life and saving many others.
Aditi Mamtani
Aditi has created Arete Labs, the first independent research and development lab in Australia.

During the 2015 earthquake in Nepal Deepak assisted and helped raise funds to rebuild over 50 houses.

In 2019, I was honoured to be recognised at the GEMCO Sydney Outstanding Achiever/Talent Awards (International Student category).
