In 2019, I was honoured to be recognised at the GEMCO Sydney Outstanding Achiever/Talent Awards (International Student category). The Award not only provided a warm sense of appreciation from our esteemed community members, but it also brought along the encouragement to continue to serve others. These challenging times have been made bearable by the service and kindness of several, often unsung, heroes. I am sure that GEMCO Sydney will acknowledge and celebrate these outstanding community members this year. My heartfelt congratulations and good luck to the 2022 nominees!
Adidev
GEMCO Sydney Awards happened to me when I was looking for platforms to promote my book 'Jadon Turey Si'. Recognition at these awards really created awareness about my work in the community and beyond. My sincere thank you to the Gemco committee for considering me worthy of this award. It has encouraged me to continue writing and share our heritage with Australians of all backgrounds. I wish all the 2022 nominees the best of luck!
